My J makes me laugh sometimes. I've said before how he's bored and trying to find a new hobby and he seems to be trying to do all of them all at the same time. And possibly just stalking me around the internet.

He's brushing up on his German on Duolingo, he's still futzing around with his blog, he's signed up to do a psychology course on line, he's trying out bujoing... he's even talked about trying to learn to knit. S has given him a list of jobs to do round the house and we're talking about redecorating the bedroom and having a new kitchen. He's also wanting to turn the other of the boxrooms into his own lttle 'study' like I've got. He's definitely enjoying spending time reading and doing crosswords though and the dogs are really loving having him to play with all the time.

He's a big dork and I really do love him.

I'm reading this book at the moment called Whoniverse: An Unofficial Planet-By-Planet Guide to the World of the Doctor from Gallifrey to Skaro by Lance Parkin and it's making me want to do a Doctor Who rewatch. Definitely 'new' Who but I'm also really tempted to go back and watch some 'classic' Who as well, start with Hartnell and work my way forwards in time. I know a lot of Patrick Troughton's stuff has been lost but rewatching Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee and I don't think I've ever gone back and rewatched Sylvester McCoy's stuff from the 80s

I think I need a Doctor Who icon!

Crazy Month

It's been an absolutely crazy couple of weeks. I don't know where the time has gone, I feel like it's completely run away with me and I've achieved nothing. I've not made it online or anything! It's also been manic and stressful and J and I have been fighting and we both got punished a lot and not in the really fun way either :(

See, J retired just before Christmas and it was all fun over the break. But then January and reality and normal kicked in and he didn't know what to do with himself. He's not used to being home and having nothing to do and he got bored - and even more bored once S had gone back to school. It was fun to start with, having J around all the time and, yes, there was a lot of sex :)

But then it stopped being so fun. Chores and errands weren't getting done. S would get mad at both of us. Then because my routine was interrupted, I wasn't taking my medications and got sick and there was yelling and guilt and it all really wasn't fun. I got lectured on routines and distractions and the importance of my health, and J did too. And he was told that he has to let me do my jobs first and if he wants to help he has to ask because my routine is important. He was also told to find something to do, to find a new hobby.

That was about 10 days ago. We now both have behaviour and chore charts and we have to report to S each day about what we did. We get either daily punishment or reward as necessary. It's working though. I'm recovering again, I've got my routine back and I'm happier. Still a little insomnia but it's getting better. And the house is back to normal standards. Which makes S happier. J's been letting me get on with my work, or helping out in little ways but he mostly reads or watches TV while I'm working. And he's got a new hobby - he's discovered the internet, got himself a laptop and even has a blog

Hopefully this new equilibrium will continue!

I'm starting to think about my goals for January, about what I want to achieve.

The main thing will be finding a new routine with J being home all the time, him working out what he's going to do and me learning to work around him being here. He's good at understanding I have a routine and I'm hoping he's not going to interrupt.

I want to find a proper blogging and commenting schedule.

I want to do a full de-clutter of the house... sort out things like paperwork, clothing, towels, bedding etc. All the little things that keep getting forgotten. Start the new year with a good clear out.

I want to read one book.

I am currently stretched out on the sofa, listening to George Michael singing Last Christmas. I have the house to myself - J&S are at work and I've finished all my chores for the day so I have the afternoon to do as I please. I'm warm, the fire is on and Odin is stretched out asleep in front of it. He's dreaming, back legs twitching and making some interesting noises. Aslan is curled up on my feet and Jadis is on the back of the sofa. They're both asleep too.

I keep trying to read but I'm finding myself far too easily distracted for that. I'm thinking of maybe joining them in a nap. But I'm also tempted to put on a movie - Harry Potter, maybe - or get out the cards and play some solitare.

Beef Stew

I wish you guys could smell my kitchen right now, or anywhere in my house because it's mouthwatering. I've had a beef stew in the oven for the last couple of hours, it's still got about an hour to go. The cats and dog are both sitting staring through the kitchen door and I'm half surprised that J isnt sitting there with them too

He keeps telling us how good it smells and how hungry it's making him. I swear if he doesn't let up, S is gonna spank him one haha

Mind, he was nicely Dominant this morning. They both were. But that's a different story that has nothing to do with my beef stew.

It's a pretty simple dish, not much prep... just a nice, long, slow, cooking process.
You start with softening some celery, some onion, bay and thyme in butter and vegetable oil. Stir in some flour, some tomato puree, beef stock cubes and (my secret ingredient) worcestershire sauce.
Gradually stir in boiling water, and the stewing beef and bring to a gentle simmer
Cover and pop in the oven (gas mark 3) for 2 and a half hours.
I've just taken off the lid and put it back in the oven - in about 45 minutes to an hour the beef will be really tender and sauce will be thick and it will be perfect.

Until then, I catch up on another episode of Frequency on Netflix

I do not like sleeping alone. We have this lovely huge bed but last night it seemed some vast expanse of emptiness. I kept rolling over and there was no-one pressed up against me, no-one to cuddle up to. It took me ages over the last couple of weeks to get used to mostly just having J in the bed so being on my own last night was horrible. And there's still two more nights of it.

Monday will come soon enough though and I will have my bed back the way I like it, even if it's only for one night before S is back to Manchester.

I should be grateful though.
We have a comfortable enough life that S is able to just whisk J away for their anniversary.
We have this huge, comfortable bed.
And I have the two best people in the world to share it with.
I have family who understand that it's not necessarily safe for me to be left alone for too long - and who don't mind 'babysitting' me for the weekend.
I'm spending quality time with my little sister enjoying some fun movies and tv shows, and sampling some of the best delivery service the town provides.

Life is good. I shouldn't complain - but I do miss J&S something fierce!

I think I need to speak to my doctor about my sleep again - as you can see, it's almost 1am and I'm wide awake. If current rouine is to be expected, I'll crash out around 01:45 and sleep really hard until about 5:30. And then spend most of the day feeling very groggy and tired and lethargic. It's been about a week now and I'm unhappy about it. Possibly an adjustment in dosage of something or other.

I've taken to sleeping in what gets designated as "my" room - second largest of the bedrooms and with staircase heading up to loft conversion - rather than our room. I don't want my lack of sleep disturbing J or S. Although 80% of the time, when I wake up, one of them - usually S - will be in the bed with me.

Lets see, what else is going on?

Watching NCIS earlier and it really is worth noting that Mark Harmon is a very attractive man. He's starting to look his age, but it's not detracting from his handsomeness.
Mark Weatherley, on the other hand, is not aging well. Although the older he gets, the more genius the casting of Robert Wagner as DiNozzo Snr is because WOW the resemblance is remarkable.
I've noticed that I've missed a couple of seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles and that there's an NCIS: New Orleans now as well, so I might make watching those a summer project.

Summer is always strange around here. We're hitting the time of year where the university students all go home for the summer but the tourists haven't descended yet. It's starting like a bit of a ghost town and it's quite spooky. It'll be like it another 6 weeks or so, then things will be insane in August. I like this time of year though because S basically takes these 6 weeks off. Come August, she'll be busy with organisation, prep, research, locking herself in the lab and doing stuff. But these 6 weeks, she just kicks back and enjoys her summer. J normally takes some time off too and we're talking about going away somewhere, maybe just a long weekend, maybe a week.

We need to get to see the new X Men movie.

I've found a couple of 30-day exercise challenges that I might try in June. My weight is coming down slowly and I always find healthy eating easier in the warmer weather.
So there's a 30-day ab challenge full of sit ups, crunches, leg raises and planks - and I need to work out the difference between a sit up and a crunch.
And there's a 30 day beginner fitness one full of lunges, leg raises, wall sits, squats, jumping jacks and other stuff I've never heard of so wil have to google.
I've also been looking at the beginner routine from Blogilates on Youtube.

Speaking of Youtube, I am so completely in love with watching Plan With Me videos. I may have mentioned this before. But it's basically just videos of people with their planners and sticker kits and doing their planning for the week ahead. There's something really calming and relaxing about it.
There's part of me that would love to do something like that but I am so not prepared to pay the price of that style of planner and throw in the cost of the sticker kits and it starts getting ridiculous

So I'll be sticking to my bullet journal. I've actually now bought myself a purple A5 Moleskine for doing it and some I think they're Inkmate pens. Hopefully the postman will bring them Tuesday so I can get everything set up in there before June properly starts on Wednesday. I've kept up with it for the whole of May, I've worked out what layouts and collections I like/work for me - I don't like stickers or embellishments, just nice and neat and functional. Mine isn't all artsy and creative like some of the really pretty ones you see out there but... well, why should I let that stop me doing what works for me?

I said about 30 day challenges. I might even get round to carrying on with that 30 day blog one. I thought about writing the answer to the next one in this post but it's a pretty depressing topic so I don't think I will. I'll answer that tomorrow - might need to figure out how to do one of those 'read the rest behind here' things because it's about suicide and I don't want to trigger anyone by them not scrolling/skipping past it.

And when I run out of things to clean I start eating. One large pizza, 2 sides and a tub of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream.

A skype video phone sex session with S&J when they're both needing to let off steam is fun. Not near as much fun as in person but still, all sex is good sex. Directed self-bondage and orgasm play. Good times.

I've spent a lot of time on the phone/texting with S today reminding her why she's not allowed to kill or main either of her husband's brothers.

Fucking hell this house is tidy. Apparently I stress clean.

I've got my weekly spread set up for next week in my bullet journal. A two page week-at-a-glance with things to remember, important dates, blog ideas. A meal plan. A gratitude log. A goals/to-do list. It's not perfect, I've a few ideas to refine it for the next one but as a first go? I quite like it.
I've sketched out how I think my dailies are going to look but I'll know for sure on Monday if it works.

J's bought us tickets to see Civil War on Friday. This film is going to cause a civil war... I'm #teamcap, J's the wrong team. S is 'team I don't bloody care it's only a film will you two shut up already?'
I just hope he's in the right frame of mind to enjoy it. I hope we all are.

There was something else but I'm falling asleep. Tomorrow I want to finish cleaning the third floor play rooms and draft up a meal plan for the week, run that by S.
For now though, there wil be sleep.

Today couldn't have been much more different than yesterday if it had tried - I went from having barely any sleep to having ALL the sleep. I fell asleep on the couch pretty early - and during The Force Awakens no less! S woke me up about 9 and I dragged myself off to bed. Slept like a complete log all night, completely missed J&S coming to bed last night and getting up this morning. I didn't wake up til just after 10am.

I spent the morning mostly just hibernating. I downloaded and watched Lucifer - and OMG! to that - while waiting for two deliveries to come.
One box of stuff for S, I have no idea what's in it but I get the feeling it's going to involve pain, pleasure or both for me and J
One Amazon delivery for me with a few stationery supplies. I'm getting my bulletjournal set up nicely, still playing around with some layouts and I'm so uncreative it's embarassing, really. It looks nowhere near as nice as the ones I'm seeing online.

This afternoon... I honestly have no idea what I've spent the day doing. There was some laundry, I took out the rubbish and the recycling. I swept and mopt the kitchen. I did cook us a very nice coq au vin, even if I do say so myself.

It's now 8pm, I'm curled up on the big bean bag in the living room. We're watching Sanctuary and I'm realising I haven't done any of my Maths, English or Science today, so I should probably get on with that... because I could quite easily just put the laptop down and go to sleep.

I am a big fan of having a daily routine, of knowing what I'm going to be doing. I have a to-do list every day, as well as having recently started ticking off my habits/dailies/to-dos on Habitica. It helps keep me calm, knowing what I'm going to be doing. Most important, it keeps me focussed on what I'm doing, what I've done and what needs to be.
Routine, for me, is a very good thing.

Most days I get up with J&S, sometimes there's some morning play, sometimes not. Either way, I like to be up and out of bed by 9am. The rest of my days general go something like:
Eat breakfast and take morning medication
Shower, brush teeth, rinse with mouthwash, put on deoderant and get dressed.
Brush my hair and apply makeup.
Make the bed.
Do any laundry that needs doing.
Clear away any clutter - check the floors and generally tidy the house up.

The next step then depends on the day of the week:
Monday - clean the bathroom
Tuesday - dusting and polishing
Wednesday - sweeping and/or vacuuming
Friday - mopping
Sunday - change sheets and towels

After the housework is done, I try and get some fresh air and exercise. I'll either go for a walk or have a swim. I'm trying to remember to include other types of exercise. I've seen a 30 day ab challenge that I'd like to give a go in May.

Lunch is at 1pm, followed by midday medications.
The afternoon, providing all the daily chores are completed, is my time. I come online, I check my emails. I check off my completed tasks on Habitica. I post on livejournal/dreamwidth/dreamwidth, I comment to my friends lists. I catch up on the geekgirl forums, I poke around on Etsy and Tumblr and Pinterest. I watch TV.
I've spent today mostly setting up my Bullet Journal and I'll have to work out where updating this comes into my daily plan.

We have our evening meal around 6pm. We watch something together. J & I do the dishes, and we clean the kitchen up.

Then comes the studying. 10% of my current mission on Khan Academy, plus one topic in my English, Maths and Science workbooks.

After studying, if any discipline or punishment is due to either me or J, it will be dished out. it depends on the time what happens next. Some nights we'll watch a DVD, or play a game. Or play. Sometimes it'll be all of us, sometimes not. Depends on what mood we're all in, what we're all doing.

Last thing at night, I take my evening medication and brush my teeth. I try to read for 15 minutes before crawling into bed - ideally, no later than 11pm.

It's all very exciting, I know!

Things are getting back to normal around here, finally! J went back to work today. S is being incredibly stubborn and trying not to let this gastroenteritis get her down, but J was firm with her and told her to stay home, at least for today, and rest.

S and I did to to the supermarket today to get the groceries no-one got at the weekend and just that was enough to send her back to bed for a nap, so at least we know J was right. She's sort of half-working and half-resting.

I've been able to get back on with as normal as my life gets around here, which makes me feel better. Following my lists and knowing what I'm doing is always a good thing.

Speaking of lists, a couple of days ago I posted about some belated goals that I'd put together for the year, a little list that looks like:
1) Keep taking my medication regime and tracking my moods and attention etc
2) Keep using to-do lists and alarms to focus myself on my task at hand
3) Lose approximately 30lb by the end of 2016
4) Start studying my GCSEs - ideally English and Maths as well as Physics
5) Learn to type

Well, inspired by Kara @ www.bohoberry.com's very popular style bullet journal, I've decided to something a little similar myself. Breaking the big goals down into steps that make them seem less daunting.

Tonight, depending on how J feels, S wants us to all sit down and work on rewards. And whether or not I should be disciplined for failing in the tasks - since these are all mine, not set by them - and what the parameters etc would be.

I'm planning on starting an actual physical bullet journal too, but because we were all sick, S didn't take me to Hobbycraft at the weekend to buy supplies. Perhaps that will be my reward this weekend for doing my maths everyday?

I'm feeling quite positive about most of these. A little nervous at the idea of actually prepping to do exams, but that's quite a way ahead in the future still. I'm just trying to get used to the idea. Although hopefully if I continue to enjoy the maths the way I am with Khan, and find equally enjoyable/working methods for other subjects then I think I'll be fine!

S is quite firm that none of these interfere with my existing duties/roles as they were. I've been fitting in the Khan Academy quite easily though over the last couple of weeks, and there's been no complaints about housework so I think I'm going to succeed quite nicely! :)

Keeping a food log will begin properly next week. This week, because we've all been so ill, is going to consist of a lot of pretty bland food - the old BRAT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Simple proteins like egg and chicken. Crackers. Then next week, paying proper attention to calories and carbs etc.

I somehow thought this journaling/blogging thing would be easy. It's actually really not. I'm sitting here racking my brains for something to talk about, something vaguely interesting.

I can't think of a thing!
Um.. anyone have any questions that I could answer for future posts?
Where do you get your inspiration for posts?

I could tell you that my thighs are killing me after going for a run with S earlier this afternoon. Or the fun we've been having together as it's Easter break and she's off work this week. *winkwink nudgenudge*
That's not to say she doesn't still have a mountain of paperwork to get through.

Or the colleague of hers that saw us together and from the look of shock and horror on her face, clearly now must think S is cheating on J. Apparently the age-gap between them is enough of a talking point among the faculty... I think she's actually looking forward to going back to hear the gossip that will be doing the rounds that she was seen out with another woman!

I'm listening to Avenged Sevenfold for what feels like the first time in forever and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy their music. And damn is M Shadows a fine piece of ass.

I spent this morning doing some dusting around the flat, then with S pouting at me to bake a cake. She's not evil enough to order me to make a cake when she's put me on a diet - she's nowhere near that cruel - just asked me if I'd make the Green Velvet Cheesecake that I made for St Patrick's Day because she really liked it and... how exactly am I supposed to resist that?
So that's chilling in the fridge and I'm sulking because I don't know if I'm going to be allowed any. Though, with J pouting at her too, I suspect S will relent! :D

I'm in the mood to watch something but I'm not sure what. Lucifer wasn't on last night so that's out. I might poke Netflix and see what it throws out at me. Or see what J or S want to watch.

Saturdays have always been me and J's day together. (Thursday is my day with S, she has no classes that day). We started off going grocery shopping, probably my least favourite chore and I could never do it alone. It stresses me out and is the time my psychosis is likely to trigger, and I struggle telling what's real and what isn't. I've been known to walk around talking to imaginary people and thinking I'm picking up one thing when it's completely different.

Although going around a supermaket with J is somewhat akin to going with a child "That's not on the list, J", or "S won't be happy if you bring that home." But he has fun and he has the cutest smile, still makes me weak to the knees.

We came home with just enough extras to make S roll her eyes and swat J on the ass heh. Not me, since I'm his responsibility when we're alone. But we did manage to bring home everything that was on the list. Why she doesn't just do it herself when she's so particular about it, I don't know!
Probably because she'd kill J in the middle of an aisle or something ;)

J, old man that he is, decided he needed an afternoon nap. He also decided that he needed me to nap with him. Safe to say there was a lot more kissing and cuddling and fucking than there was actual napping, but laying half asleep and thoroughly orgasmic in his arms is definitely a favourite place to be. Even if S busted us eating chocolate. I mentioned yesterday that S told me I was going on a diet. Well, J and I managed to bring home half the store's worth of half-price Easter chocolate. And part of the cuddling involved an Easter egg being eaten. She just stood there, leaning against the door frame, arms crossed and trying to decide if she was annoyed or amused.

I'm not the only one who's being denied tasty treats now. J is sulking. It's cute. Ever seen a 63 year old guy sulking because his chocolate was taken away from him?
At least he won't get enforced exercise because of his age and the fact he has bad knees! S is a big believer in punishment fitting the crime.

Although, while we were 'napping', S has installed a bunch of updates on my laptop and set it up to work with the printer through the wireless network. She's a bit of a computer nerd is my S! Which is a good job since I'm pretty clueless and J is probably more likely to throw it out of the window!

I've found a promising looking typing teaching website so I'll be looking at that tomorrow. See if I can get more than just my index fingers in on the action. I have no idea how long it's supposed to take to learn though, but there's 15 lessons, so probably a couple of weeks.

Other than that, it's been a pretty standard Saturday around here. Sheets and bedding changed, laundered and put away. Everywhere's clean and tidy and it's time for our usual weekend family movie night. S is being evil and making herself some popcorn in the microwave, and I know me and J won't be allowed any. It looks like J's choosing Rock Of Ages so that should be fun.

I spent a fair bit of this morning in the doghouse. Figuratively, not literally. When cooking dinner last night, I accidentally lightly burnt the rice. S was very unamused to say the least. I'm not even sure J actually noticed, he just inhaled the food like always. But S is very much a stickler for details and was very disappointed in me. And I was basically sent to dinner without dessert and on my own.

This morning there was a small lecture on paying more attention to what I'm doing. S knows I'm trying though, that it was an accident so nothing more than a telling off and a light spanking. It felt worse knowing I'd let her down more than anything.

J bought fish and chips home with him tonight so no cooking for me to ruin. I noticed S frowning at me some and asked her what was wrong. She commented that I'd put weight on, and as much as I hate to admit it, she's right. Not a lot, just enough that it's noticeable. This means as of Monday I'm starting a new diet and exercise routine. I have to keep a food and exercise diary and I'm aiming to have lost 8lb by the beginning of May.

I'd also really like to properly study some physics. I left school with no qualifications so I'm thinking about actually taking my GCSE physics since I'm getting interested in it through watching science-fiction. S&J have ordered me some textbooks off Amazon, they should come next week. I'm looking forward to settling down with that.

I also signed up for a penpal club and am waiting to get 'paired' with my first penpal. It's very exciting, actually.

J says he's very proud of me right now, how he can tell the medications I'm on are working because I'm actually wanting to do things for me, and finding things I'm interested in. He and S both think its cute too that I'm doing this whole online thing and are encouraging me to keep with it and hoping this self-discovery thing works. He even suggested that maybe I could list out my hopes and dreams and plans for the rest of the year - show them it and we'll work on them together.

I done that on paper but thought I'd share them here too:

Hello everyone!

It felt really wonderful to log on this morning and see that people have added me! That people want to hear what I have to say. Although it's also a little unnerving in a way. Will I live up to being interesting?

I found it strange when writing the 'about me' post that I made to friending communities that the first thing I wrote about myself were my diagnoses. Can you imagine doing that in real life? Meeting someone, shaking their hand and saying "Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm a schizophrenic with ADHD and bipolar disorder!'
They'd look at me... well I was going to say strangely but then a lot of people do that anyway so it wouldn't be much of a difference really

I suppose it's different to actually introducing yourself, though, these posts. It's more a sales pitch in a way, isn't it? And my health is a large part of what make me who I am, so it is interesting that people understand that I have them. I am very much interested in finding out who I am outside of my diagnoses. You'd think by now I'd know who I am but I've always let these labels define me, rather than just... be. For too long I've been "Lucy the Schizo" and I want to find out who "Lucy the Person" is.

I am sitting in the room in our house known as 'the library' - it's basically a bedroom full of books, comfortable chairs and a desk. And a CD player. I'm listening to some Mendelssohn as I type this: A Midsummer Night's Dream - Overture if you're interested. I'm also thinking I need to a) cut my nails and b) learn to type. I have no idea where keys are and this is hard work. I don't know what to do with my other 6 fingers or my thumbs!

I've been setting up various accounts online. I now have a Twitter (@lucyshiningone) and a last.fm (lists! alphabetised!). I've heard about a to-do website called Habitica which sounds interesting so I think that might be my next stopping point.
