My little sisters are awesome
Nov. 1st, 2017 09:05 pmMy little sisters came down to visit, they said just for a couple of days. I've missed them since we moved, we've always been really close and they're definitely part of my support network - Polly especially since she's a mental health professional.
My older siblings were close when I was born, used to doing things together and I was... a weird kid so when Polly & Esme were born I was so excited and we did everything together. I'm not especially close with the rest of the family but the three of us have always been thick as thieves. They often exclude a lot of other people, get lost in the whole 'twin thing' but always made sure I was part of it.
So we did a bunch of tourist stuff in Cardiff and went to the castle, down to the bay and that kind of thing. It was a lot of fun and Cardiff's a pretty awesome place, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.
And then they told me... they're not just here for a visit. They're moving to Cardiff! They didn't like the idea of me being down here by myself and they agreed when J, S & I first started talking about moving they started putting the wheels in motion. Polly has a new job down here and Esme's got a transfer to a branch of the bank she works for and they've bought a flat - they're kind of cliche twins in that they can't not live together, even though they're 30. J&S knew all about it and the twin sisters are moving at the middle of this month. They're staying with us for the rest of this week
I'm stunned. I don't know how to react. I'm really grateful and I'm overwhelmed with love and that my baby sisters are willing to uproot their lives so that I'm not 'at risk'. That they care about me so much, that I'm loved so much. It's brought me to tears more than once today and I'm teared up again now just thinking about it. I love them so much and I'm just overwhelmed and amazed, y'know?
